89-L51035. Myler Bit - 5 inch MMB S.I. 03 Mouth. Level 1. Lynn's Thoughts: The short shank makes the mouthpiece work quickly, but because it is a short shank, not much pressure is put on the mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is great for horses who like to push off, root or lug on the bit. Please also note that the type of resistance described here may be due to either dental problems farther back in the mouth or tight muscles at the poll. This could be a great bit to use on colts coming out of a draw bit or ring bit.
